Zoo trip

Tyler forgot his lunch and asked if I could bring it to him, and since he works right by the zoo, I could just take the kids. He had just bought our family an annual zoo pass. I thought it was a great idea. We didn't have long though because I had to be back in time to pick Jake up from school, but it was fun. Ben ran from animal to animal and was very excited. I bought him a kid burger and we shared a Sprite, I got a jalepeno cheese stuffed pretzel and Peyton was quite happy in the stroller, as long as it was moving. I did have to sit and nurse her in front of the Sea Lion exhibit, and Ben didn't like that, he wanted to keep going. I'm looking forward to bringing the other kids and taking many zoo trips this next year.

Like I said, running from animal to animal...
Aww, posing with the "in memory of Nosey" statue. He was the elephant I remember as a kid.

The sting ray exhibit is one of my favorite. You can even feed them for $1. When we went it wasn't feeding time though, but they still will come up and suck on your hand if you put it in there, checking for food I guess! Ben couldn't reach far enough in, but I don't think he really wanted to touch them anyway.
This is one of the smaller ones, I think it was the same one that kept checking for food every time it swam around.

Posing in front of the Seal. I told him I wanted to take his picture when he was swimming by, so Ben watched and as soon as he swam by Ben turned around and said, "cheese!"

Waiting for our lunch.

In the air baby

Peyton loved Daddy putting her up in the air. We love Saturday and Sunday mornings when all the kids come to our room, it's one of my favorite times.

Jacob's Butterfly lunch

Thanks so much for this idea Jennifer. I made Jacob a butterfly sandwich and he loved it. He gets so sick of sandwiches and this really helped him enjoy his lunch, he asked if he could have one again tomorrow.

Always climbing

Ben is our busiest most active, most boyish boy. I was at the computer and I heard him say, "Mommy, can you help me down?" I went in and saw him up on the counter and snapped a few pictures. When I was done he asked me if it was ok to jump down. Mommy said, "Nope, not on the hard floor, sorry."
"Awight mommy."

T-Ball begins

Hello Erin Heasley, you blog stalker!!! (That's the shout out for you)

Jacob had so much fun at t-ball and is so happy that daddy is coaching his team (one of the coaches). He told me that he was scared that it would be too hard but it wasn't, it was fun! Micah and Jacob also had fun, they sat with me and Peyton and watched a little and they played on the play structure and refilled our water at the drinking fountain. Jacob was also very happy that he got to be on the green team, that is his and Micah's favorite color

Ben and Micah having some snacks.
Peyton hanging out in her stroller.
Tyler and Jacob out on the field.
Waiting to bat.

Receiving their hats and shirts.

Jacob hitting off the T, they don't let them be pitched to for the first few weeks, he was ok with that though.
At first base!!!
The sun is setting, almost time to go...

Muddy Footprints

Since we have been relandscaping our front yard, there has been an abundance of mud. My boys, especially Ben, just can't manage to stay out of it. On my way to a little playdate I noticed these little muddy footprints of Ben's. I had to get a picture. They went all the way across the street! They must have been caked with mud. Tyler said they've been there for a while, I hope they last!

From left to right: Benjamin, Peyton, Joshua, Isabel and Noah. My friend Jennifer and I both had 3 boys, our 3rd boys were born exactly a week apart, Ben being 1 week older. We both decided to have one more about the same time and she got 2 more! Peyton is about a month older than the twins. So now Jennifer has 4 boys and a girl! Now she needs to have one more to even it out again, right?
This is Jennifer with her babies Joshua and Isabel. Her older boys are Gabriel, Elijah and Noah.
Ben is still having a hard time with naps. He doesn't usually take them anymore, but sometimes he gets so tired he just crashes. I guess our playdate wore him out! When he does nap he is up very late. It's a vicious cycle, because I have to get him up at 7 to get the boys off to school, so he's tired again from having gone too sleep so late and then he naps again!!!
