7 lbs. 9 oz. 20 in.

I'm pretty sure that only 1 or 2 people actually read my blog anymore, so I do sometimes have to remind myself that it's ok. I do this blog for out of town family, and for myself. What I experienced yesterday was definately blog worthy. I got to be with my little sister all day yesterday while she was in labor. She was induced at 12:25 and her baby was born at 8:23, less than 8 hours later. I got to be there and witness the miracle of his life begin. It was an amazing experience to be right up close and personal (I got to hold her leg), my mom and my other sister were also there. It was the first time I experienced being on the other end, and I loved it. All the joy and none of the pain! I may detail my experience of her birth later, with more detail, maybe not. I will however post pictures soon. He is a beautiful baby, and to be honest, he's as cute as mine were, and that's saying a lot. I got to go visit her again today at the hospital and hold him, I even got to change his very first poopy diaper. Nursing is going excellently, I am so relieved. I had a tough time with a few of mine. Mommy and baby are both doing well and are most likely coming home tonight. The kids (mine) are very anxious to see their new cousin and I'm looking forward to that.

Congratualtions !! I too have experienced birth from that side and it is awesome !!! In fact I have been with more new babies than I had myself, but that wouldn't be hard since I only had one !!!

Congrats to your little sis. Kelly. I read the blog too so you have more fans than you know. I love to read birth stories too. And I am sure your sister would be happy if you kept changing those diapers.

Congrats to your sister. What a neat experience to be there and NOT feel any pain. I envy you. I'll be in that situation in a couple of weeks....But I'll be feeling it. LOL

Kelly! I have been in two births, other than my own. :) Both were amazing. Both friends. I could not imagine the amazing experience of having it be my sis. What a blessing. SO great. H

Please post a the birth story. I would love to read it. I love reading birth stories. I think it would be a lot of fun to be a doula or birth attendant. Anyway... if you write the birth story it will be there for your sister if she doesn't write it out.
