DO NOT leave food unattended!

We have 2 of the biggest moochers in our house that go by the names of Peyton and Diego. If you leave your food unsupervised, one or the other, sometimes both, WILL eat it. Jacob was pretty good humored about it though and even enjoyed a "Lady and the Tramp" moment with his sister. She tends to get away with more than anyone else here.

Moonlight Sonata

March 5
Tyler says he doesn't play the piano, well, that's partly true. He needs time to go over songs, he doesn't play well enough to hold a calling as a pianist or anything, but he brings music to our home, beautiful music. One of my favorites that he plays is Moonlight Sonata. He is Mr. Shy and Humble, so in order to get this video, I had to sneak.

I stand corrected, they DO exhist!

Several days ago Micah shared with me that he had seen an article in Family Fun Magazine about how to make Leprechaun traps. He said that they visited someone's house and left gold coins and played pranks like turning the toilet water green. In all my years as a mother, and even all the years before that, I have never experienced any visits by Leprechauns. I told Micah that I did not think they were real. Low and behold, we were visited last night. I should have known, there is an Easter Bunny, a tooth fairy and Santa Clause, so why wouldn't there be leprechauns? I have heard of these little boogers doing some mighty mischievouse things, luckily they were kind in our home.

There were many places that those little stinkers put paint on their feet and left footprints.

You can't see it here very well, but the toilet water was green, even more so after Jake went pee at 4 am and didn't flush so everyone else could see the green water!

They left us a lovely table and some more footprints. I think they found these cute green dishes at the Dollar Tree.

All the boys got kisses on their cheeks. Tyler had one on his forhead and promptly wiped it off. Jacob wore his to school!

I have never seen our kids so excited and up so early in the morning, on a school day, you would have thought it was Christmas morning by their enthusiasm.

We had our traditional green breakfast. This year it was green eggs, green toast and green milk. There was a little complaining from Jacob that there were no green pancakes this year though. I think our little visitors more than made up for that though!

Miss P liked the footprints on her high chair tray, she noticed those right away!

I hope they visit us again next year, it was a huge hit, and maybe they'll leave some of those gold chocolate coins next time!

GO DOGS!

On February 20th we got to go to Fresno State's 1st baseball game of the season. It was awesome! The kids were all so good and I was able to actually watch the game. At one point they did get restless and Tyler took them on a little walk where he got to watch the game and they collected nails and bolts and things from the dirt. I know, looking back, I should have been the one taking the kids so my husband could enjoy the game right? Well, to be honest I really was into it. I think it was the first time I watched an entire game, ever. It was a very exciting game too, and we won!

What sporting event is complete without a hot dog? I love the look Ben has on his face.

The look on Tyler's face here is classic too.

Gotta love the ketchup on her face.

Ben all decked out in his red.

They gave out rally towels to the first spectators, the boys were really happy about getting their rally towels, and now I have a new sweat towel for cycling!

My sweet girl, it got a little chilly when the sun went down.

On our way home I made sure to jump in at least one picture. You can see Peyton asleep in her car seat in the background. All 4 kiddos fell asleep on the way home! Yep, even Micah, can you believe it?

Thanks for the fun time Ty, and for being Mr. Mom with the kids so I could enjoy the game! You are the best.

Before AND After!

Tyler and I have been wanting to redo our kitchen cabinets since we moved in more than 3 years ago. We finally braved the job and got it done. I know a lot of you are not fond of black cabinets and when I mentioned the color to people before we did it I heard a lot of skeptics. That being said, Tyler and I both love them and it's ok if no one else does because they're ours! I don't think you can see it very well in the pictures, but I did distress them, also not everyone's favorite, but I love it and I'm very happy with the results. What's your opinion? Don't worry, I really want to know, I don't think you can hurt my feelings! What do you guys think of the decor? Any suggestions to improve it? Is there too much stuff? There will be more cabinet redos in the near future, we still have the bathrooms, hallway and maybe the laundry room, we'll see. Also, new kitchen towels. Any suggestions on where to go for those?

Father Son Night

February 5 was Father Son night at the boys school. I'm not exactly sure what they did, but I know they played wii bowling and had snacks. It was a hit and the picture, I thought, turned out very cute. I love my guys! It will be even more fun when Benji can join the rest of the boys.
