The Boy Who Cried Wolf (help)

Ok, you'll be seeing a lot more video from me in the future. I didn't do anything different than before, but Blogger now takes my video!

I heard Jacob yelling help the whole time I was filming, I even looked over at him and he was swimming. He had been yelling help earlier that day, as well as many other days. I was just turning to scold him yet again for yelling help when I realized that this time he was actually serious.

Swimming and my BUMBO!

July 24, 2008

We truely haven't been up to much this summer, well, during the week anyhow. We have been swimming at my parents house quite often. The boys have all been little fishies. This is the 3 of them jumping in together.

Peyton sitiing in her new (to us) Bumbo. I have been wanting one of these handy little chairs, but for $40.00 I just couldn't have one. Well, Tyler and I and the kids passed Family Proclamations out in our neighborhood Saturday morning before last and on our way home I spotted it. Tyler was amazed that with all the people and the cars and it being behind a dresser that I spotted it. I got it for $1, can't beat that. It does have a girls name written very small on the back, but I scrubbed it so well you can barely see it, and for a buck, wow!

Ben's 3 year old pictures

Do not exhist! We had Peyton's 6 month pics on Monday and we were lucky to get a good picture at all. We had to wait forever and she got tired and the boys were bored and acting up. I was embarassed and was actually glad we were coming back so they could see my kids were good. Well, My sister watched the rest of my brood so I only had Ben for his pictures today. He usually is such a ham when it comes to pictures and even does his own adorable poses. Well, to make a long story short, we left without a single picture even being taken. Ben was playing shy boy and mommy was crying! We rescheduled for the 4th of August but Ben told me that he will not smile for pics next time either, he wont even get near the mark where they take the pictures. Thanks for letting me vent!

*Well, we didn't end up going to Ben's rescheduled appointment because he said he was not going to take pictures! Ugh! Oh well.

Peyton uses a straw now!

July 23

For the past week or so I have let Peyt mouth my straw and now she sucks on it and gets water, woo hoo!
She is so cute!

Jacob, he looks so much like his daddy.
Micah, mmmm, sucker tongue.
Benjamin, he looks so much like his mommy!

Baby love

Just thought these were cute. Benji adores his baby sister. You can see it in his eyes when he looks at her.

The Alpha kitten

Miss Charlotte has made herself right at home in Diego's bed, and he let's her! Before I got there with the camera Diego had his head on his paws looking at her in his bed with quite a forlorn look in his eyes. He loves her though, so he lets her have his bed. She decides when they play, how long they play, when it's time to rest and where.

Family Home Evening at the Lake

I forgot my camera in the Van, so I didn't get any pics until we were leaving. The McCauley's invited us and the Linfords to go to the lake with them on their pontoon boat. It was fun. We had bar-b-que hot dogs and swam. We were jumping off of the roof of the boat (yes, I know, not allowed but it was fun) and Ben wanted to, so we let him. What a fearless little boy.

My sister came with us and helped a lot with Peyton so I got to do lots of swimming. She was one tired girl by the end of the night.
Skipping Stones

I had to get this one of Peyton. When she nurses she pulls on her hair and it is very cute, I don't want to forget this.

Puppet Show

One of the things I like best about Sundays is how creative the kids get and the toys that are rarely touched get to be played with. My parents got Micah and Jacob these puppets when they went to Cancun several years ago and Ben and Jake did a puppet show that Micah joined in later.

Painted door

Tyler took our security screen door off because it was ugly and we realized our door then really needed something.

It just didn't pop.
Our neighbors around the corner are always painting and doing cool stuff to their house and this is their door. I really like it, so let's call this our Inspiration door.
Tyler and Micah wanted to do greens rather than the browns, so I went with it, I was just happy to have another home inprovement project that Tyler was on board with. This is our door during the painting process. We all painted a little with the exception of Peyton. I did a large majority of the painting though, Tyler thinks I'm the best at this type of thing, ugh. It's ok though, he took care of Peyt so I could paint.
POP! Before we got the 2nd and 3rd coats on the door it was a bit worrisome, it looked like baby poo yellow and diarrhea green. Tyler was not liking it, I just told him to wait, it would be fine. After seeing the door Micah said that we need to paint our house now because it doesn't match. He is kind of right, I think if we paint the trim black it will tie the door in.

Some of the painters.
Tyler made me get in a picture since I did most of the painting. I know that shirt makes me look even bigger than I really am but that's ok.
Now it stands out.
I like it, what do you think?

Family bike ride and Tyler's burn story

*Scroll down more, there are lots of new posts!

Well, I am hanging out at my mom's house today and of course brought along my laptop. I'm bound and determined to catch up on my blogging! They have a wireless router and it is so handy since my pictures are on my laptop now! Peyton is on my lap and my sister is out back swimming with the boys. Speaking of swimming, Ben is quite the fish now. He swims to the bottom and gets things and he can come up to breath too. He loves jumping in and is fearless.

July 7, 2008

We decided to take all the kids on a bike ride, we ended up only making it around the block. Peyton was tired, it was already 30 minutes past bedtime, but I thought the ride might relax her, wrong. She screamed the entire time. When the weather cooles off we'll try it again.

July 8, 2008

It's hard to get a picture of our little furry friends in a natural pose. As soon as they see me with the camera they move. They were sleeping right next to each other, so cute, they really love each other.
My two animal lover kiddos wanted to be in a picture with them.

Last night while I had mutual Tyler took on all 4 kids as he has been doing most Wednesday nights. He had plans to Bar-b-que burgers for them and he did! My dear friend Donna let me borrow her eliptical and I called ahead to have Tyler move out the treadmill to make room for it. He was getting the kids to bed and he said he needed a hair cut when I got home. I said sure. I thought maybe he had some kind of interview or something important going on because I very recently had givin him a haircut. So, getting to the point, I get the eliptical and 4 books to borrow(thanks again Donna, you're great!) and make it home to find Tyler in the front yard adjusting sprinklers, 4 kids asleep in their own beds, and a tidy house, dinner cleaned up and everything! As you may have guessed, there's more to this story...
While lighting our new bar-b-que, Ty forgot to open the side vents and had a huge fire ball engulf his head. One eyebrow is pretty much gone and the other looks really well groomed. His eyelashes are extremely short and the hair on the front and sides of his head was burned almost all the way down to his scalp. It turns out it was a good thing he had a recent haircut, otherwise his hair probably would have caught fire and kept burning. I had to cut his hair really short to get off all of the melted parts. He never lets me cut it very short, so that was fun, I wish he'd let me shave it just once! I was going to do this post later, but oh well. Here are some pics for it. The first few were when I was really wrestling to get a picture, he hates me taking pictures of him, especially in this case, I think he feels kind of dumb about the whole incident. He finally gave in, sort of and he at least remained still. For those of you wondering, he is ok, his face and lips are a little burnt, but he's fine, thank God, it could have been worse.

Tyler trying so hard to hide his hair, check out his eyebrows...

You may have to click the picture to really see the singed hair, it is the hair that appears more orange in color.

There we go, all around the sides of his head, it smelled so gross.
July 24, 2008

I snapped a few pics this morning after his haircut, wow, very short! He wore a hat to work today, he never does that, I didn't even think he could!
I love you honey! Thanks for providing me something to blog about!!!

The primary parade, yay, all 3 boys have bikes now!!!
MMmmm, pancake breakfast.

Everythings a sword.

My sister Dara and her 2 babies. They are very sweet and very tired!

Backyard Campout July 3rd, 2008

Tyler and the boys camped out in the backyard, after reading some HP I was off to my own bed, camping is for the beach and mountains!

Can you believe that Ben can get just as dirty camping in the backyard as he can in the mountains? I brought him inside for a quick washup before letting him get in the sleeping bag.

As always Micah was the first one up!
