My friend Allyson gave the Relief Society lesson on Sunday and used this quote that I just love. I wanted to remind myself of it so I made this to print and frame and I'm sharing it with you. I think you can just click it and save it to your computer and it should come out ok, I hope! I used paper from The LDS blog train blog "6 bees" (aqua paper) and the hearts. I used paper from Gettin' Scrappy with Britt's collab "Boy Meets Girl" (the orange paper for the words Harder and Better).

Hoping ALL IS WELL

We just got home from a Grizzlies game, our second of the season. All the kids behaved wonderfully again (woo hoo) and we were all able to enjoy the game, and this time they won! On our way home we passed our church building and Tyler said there were a bunch of police cars in the parking lot and one other car. Me, being daring and adventurous wanted to stop and see what was going on, my ever practical and caring husband however did not think it the best idea for us to stop with four sleepy little ones in the back. Now, as a mother, why did I not think of that? So glad I have a wise and loving husband who looks out for us! He is now at the church with the officers thanks to a kind and thoughtful sister in our ward. Hopefully, ALL IS WELL. I will be posting more about our fun week soon. Things have been busy trying to get ready for 3 kids starting school Monday and trying to cram in a last little bit of family fun.

He Won!

March 28, yes, I'm a little late. Our first pinewood derby was great. Micah won in his race and in his pack. He had a lot of fun, I think mostly because his car did so well. He came up with the design and Tyler cut it out, he told me exactly how to paint it, and I painted it. After his car was finished, we got a letter sent home telling the parents to let the kids do most of the work. There's always next year. That being said, he did think of it all on his own, he just didn't execute the plan.

My Sunbeam

January 4th, 2009
He was not wanting me to take his picture because it was cold and he wanted to get inside, but this is him on his 1st day as a sunbeam.

Ben is now a Sunbeam! He had a hard time going for a few weeks and even last Sunday someone came to get me because he was crying, but by the time I got there he was ok and his teacher was able to send me away before he even saw me. That evening Tyler and I were talking to Ben about him having a hard time and he said that he was crying but he was ok, then he said, "I like Sister Scott now!" So, we'll see how next Sunday goes. I am very glad that he has Sister Scott for a teacher and I think by the time he's ready for CTR 4 he's not going to want to leave her.

Anniversary Day Thoughts

Well, it is mine and Tyler's Ninth wedding anniversary. In so many ways it feels like it was just a moment ago that we were married, yet, more than that I feel that my whole life thus far has been with him. I guess in many ways it has, not that the previous 21 years don't matter for they shaped who I have become, but In a sense I feel like my life truely began 9 years ago. Happy Anniversary Ty!



I have lost the use of my laptop, so have not been uploading pictures or doing any digital scrapbooking, so sad. For some reason the battery will not charge. It isn't the battery, but maybe the power cord. Anyway. I hope to have that remedied before I go crazy, until then, all I can post are my words! All of the boys in my house are sick with strep throat. Tyler was out of town from Monday until last night and I took the boys to urgent care and spent 3+ hours there. I got some pictures that I'll hopefully be able to post sometime with the full story. There was Diarrhea and vomit and puss involved, I bet you can't wait to hear that story. I am going to the Twilight premier tonight and Tyler is sick, so hopefully we'll celebrate tomorrow night. I had our doctor call in some antibiotics for him, so they were waiting on his nightstand for him when he got back into town. I am assuming since all 3 boys tested positive for strep and he has the same symptoms that's what it is, right? I also have to add this great quote from Boyd K. Packer (thanks Janet). I made my favorite part big, so if you don't want to read the whole thing at least read that.

Trunk or Treat and Nana's house

These boys always have the best costumes. Last year 2 of them were completely wrapped in duct tape except their heads and hands (wonder how they peed), this year they went dumpster diving to get their costumes.

Peyton was still pretty sick, so she didn't even wear her costume which was a bit too warm. However, she had lots of fun emptying Micah's candy bag and playing with all the candy. It was fun to watch her as she purposfully and dutifully shoved his candy under the couch.

Pooped out. I learned later that Jacob had 3 pieces of candy all night and Micah had none! Those silly boys, I think that when I was little a ate about a third of my candy that night!

Independence Day

We went to our wards fourth of July breakfast like always. This is Peyton with my friend Donna.

TOFW

Wow, what a fun filled and uplifting day. I am so ready to continue on in my Joyful life.

I spent all of my day with Peyton, and most of it with Stephanie White. I got to see many friends and familiar faces and was surprised and happy to see Cristy Michaelson!
There were very funny women and beautiful songs, Kenneth Cope and Mercy River.
Peyton was very well behaved and I really look forward to more mother daughter activities with her. After Time Out for women a group of girls went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. I came home to 3 bathed children and a house that was no messier than when I left this morning, thanks Ty!

Family Home Evening

I gave the lesson about the printing of the Book of Mormon. We learned that the type had to be set by hand, letter by letter. They got to put just the title together letter by letter and learn how long it takes. We also learned that Martin Harris sold over 100 acres to cover the cost of the book, which was $3,000 for the first printing. I forgot how many they printed, sorry! We looked at a replica of the first Books of Mormon too, very cool, all in paragraph form and no footnotes, it looked just like a regular novel.

Aloha! ward activity Elders Quorum Luau

Some may have mentioned how last minute this activity was, but I think that's the only thing one might find to complain about. It was such a fun ward activity. There was great food, fun decorations and fabulous entertainment. The Ramos family did a great job keeping everyone entertained with all of the dancing and Kaipo's mom shared a wonderful story about Joseph F. Smith and his mission to the Hawaiian islands. There were also lots of fun games for the kids going on.
