This is something we do
During the hot summer months when school is out, we swim at Nana's. We sometimes bring some friends too. When you swim, you work up an appetite and kids sure like pizza!

4 already?
Ben's favorites are
swimming, games, more games, board games, card games, computer games, video games, sports, like kicking around a soccer ball and batting, cereal, fruit snacks.
Ben is a cuddle bug and a night owl. He loves his one on one time with mom and dad and he likes to hang out in our room at night. We are enjoying it while it lasts and before he starts school! He can do a lot for himself and I can't remember the last time I picked clothes out for him. He knows what he wants and gets you to agree to it while making you think it was your idea. Ben is a cute kid and well liked by others. He is a good friend. Some of his best buds right now are Aubri, Bekah, Essien and Luke. We love you The Toot!
Ben with some more of his friends, cousins Hunter and Dominic and his little sister, swimming Monday in Nana's pool. We are trying to do something fun each day this week to celebrate his birthday.

I couldn't think of a title
MAY 4
I don't know whos idea this was, but the other went right along with it.
When it's not too hot we've been enjoying our backyard. Thanks to Susie V. (my mom's friend) we've had a pretty cozy swing.
Ben is NEVER not posing. Maybe it's just how he is, but he always looks like he's striking a pose
Balls and dolls, that's what this little girl is all about, she is pretty fond of water and dirt too.
She gets a little frusterated with this ball, it's too big and heavy but she still tries.
She adores any small furniture, usually chairs, she loves stuff that's her size, apparently she thought this would make a nice seat.

Ahh, twilight in the backyard, isn't it pretty. Daddy had been pitching balls to the boys back there lately. We really are enjoying having a backyard more than we thought we would.
We're a few people short of a team, I think we need to get together with cousins soon!!!
If you got to hear my talk in church on Mother's Day, this is what I was talking about. It's cat poo, no, none of the kids pooed on the bed. Peyton got into it, but she discovered pretty quickly it wasn't a good idea and came to me for help right away.

He has to take a break now and then to soak up some heat. The water is still a bit chilly.
We have another fish on our hands with this girl. She doesn't mind how chilly the water is and has taken a few plunges and not gotten upset at all. Maybe she'll even start swimming at 2 like big brother Benji did! I love my water babies.Sunday, October 19, 2008
Happy Birthday Ty!
Someday I'll catch up on my blogging, maybe. Poor Tyler got that cold that was going around and was sick on his birthday. He came home from work early and was still feeling really lousy when it was time to go to my parents for dinner/birthday party. The kids and I ended up going without him so he could have a quiet night at home resting. He wanted brownies with white frosting for his cake, so I made them, and another batch with powdered sugar on top to take to my parents for dessert. It was pretty weird to be without him on his birthday! When we got home from my parents house we had him open his gifts. I got him a new suit and 2 church shirts, exciting, I know, but that's what he needed, I also got him some candy and he bought himself a watch online.
There were bat shapes on the inside of the box of brownie mix, so, why not?
Crazy swimmer Ben, he loves the water so much! What are we going to do all winter?
Jacob and Ben braved the cold water to get their fix, Micah opted out this time.
They all warmed up in the hot tub. After I took this picture, Ben climbed out to get back in the pool and fell on the cement right on his head. He rarely cries when he gets hurt, and this time he wailed, so I know it really hurt. My sister came running from inside because she heard his head hit the concrete! What a blessing, he was fine in just a few hours, good as new!
Happy, um, 30 something honey!

The Boy Who Cried Wolf (help)
Ok, you'll be seeing a lot more video from me in the future. I didn't do anything different than before, but Blogger now takes my video!
I heard Jacob yelling help the whole time I was filming, I even looked over at him and he was swimming. He had been yelling help earlier that day, as well as many other days. I was just turning to scold him yet again for yelling help when I realized that this time he was actually serious.
Swimming and my BUMBO!
We truely haven't been up to much this summer, well, during the week anyhow. We have been swimming at my parents house quite often. The boys have all been little fishies. This is the 3 of them jumping in together.
Peyton sitiing in her new (to us) Bumbo. I have been wanting one of these handy little chairs, but for $40.00 I just couldn't have one. Well, Tyler and I and the kids passed Family Proclamations out in our neighborhood Saturday morning before last and on our way home I spotted it. Tyler was amazed that with all the people and the cars and it being behind a dresser that I spotted it. I got it for $1, can't beat that. It does have a girls name written very small on the back, but I scrubbed it so well you can barely see it, and for a buck, wow!

Family bike ride and Tyler's burn story
Well, I am hanging out at my mom's house today and of course brought along my laptop. I'm bound and determined to catch up on my blogging! They have a wireless router and it is so handy since my pictures are on my laptop now! Peyton is on my lap and my sister is out back swimming with the boys. Speaking of swimming, Ben is quite the fish now. He swims to the bottom and gets things and he can come up to breath too. He loves jumping in and is fearless.

We decided to take all the kids on a bike ride, we ended up only making it around the block. Peyton was tired, it was already 30 minutes past bedtime, but I thought the ride might relax her, wrong. She screamed the entire time. When the weather cooles off we'll try it again.

It's hard to get a picture of our little furry friends in a natural pose. As soon as they see me with the camera they move. They were sleeping right next to each other, so cute, they really love each other.
My two animal lover kiddos wanted to be in a picture with them.
Last night while I had mutual Tyler took on all 4 kids as he has been doing most Wednesday nights. He had plans to Bar-b-que burgers for them and he did! My dear friend Donna let me borrow her eliptical and I called ahead to have Tyler move out the treadmill to make room for it. He was getting the kids to bed and he said he needed a hair cut when I got home. I said sure. I thought maybe he had some kind of interview or something important going on because I very recently had givin him a haircut. So, getting to the point, I get the eliptical and 4 books to borrow(thanks again Donna, you're great!) and make it home to find Tyler in the front yard adjusting sprinklers, 4 kids asleep in their own beds, and a tidy house, dinner cleaned up and everything! As you may have guessed, there's more to this story...
While lighting our new bar-b-que, Ty forgot to open the side vents and had a huge fire ball engulf his head. One eyebrow is pretty much gone and the other looks really well groomed. His eyelashes are extremely short and the hair on the front and sides of his head was burned almost all the way down to his scalp. It turns out it was a good thing he had a recent haircut, otherwise his hair probably would have caught fire and kept burning. I had to cut his hair really short to get off all of the melted parts. He never lets me cut it very short, so that was fun, I wish he'd let me shave it just once! I was going to do this post later, but oh well. Here are some pics for it. The first few were when I was really wrestling to get a picture, he hates me taking pictures of him, especially in this case, I think he feels kind of dumb about the whole incident. He finally gave in, sort of and he at least remained still. For those of you wondering, he is ok, his face and lips are a little burnt, but he's fine, thank God, it could have been worse.

Tyler trying so hard to hide his hair, check out his eyebrows...
You may have to click the picture to really see the singed hair, it is the hair that appears more orange in color.
There we go, all around the sides of his head, it smelled so gross.

I snapped a few pics this morning after his haircut, wow, very short! He wore a hat to work today, he never does that, I didn't even think he could!
I love you honey! Thanks for providing me something to blog about!!!

Jacob's Lego house and Peyton's 1st pool adventure! June 22 and 23
My mom, "Nana Paula" gave me some money to go get Peyton a suit at Target. I had tried to find her one earlier this summer, and even before summer but they were all 12 months and larger. Well, Connie, a lady in our ward lives across the street from my mom and she came over to swim with us and her baby is just about a month younger than Peyton. He had on a cute swim shirt and shorts, she said she found them at Target just a few days before and they had just restocked them and they had girls too. So, my mom gave me the money and I went right then and there. Unfortunately all they had in the shirt style were bigger sizes, I went ahead and got her this suit so she didn't have to go naked! So, if you're wondering,"Why the bikini?" That's the story! I figure that while she's still in diapers it's really not that big a deal.
She would not look up she was so fascinated by the fabric.
The water was very cold, I didn't think she'd like it but she did!
Peyton is such a happy baby and really enjoys being near her brothers where she can see and hear them playing.
Nana gave her water from a cup for the first time and she did great.

$7 Monday Madness-June 16
Ok, this was a few days before the ball game, but he looked so cute I had to throw it in somewhere. Nana Byn and Papa Ron got him a bunch of spiderman swim stuff for his birthday, it went nicely with the pool Nana Paula and Papa Larry got him.
Mmm, hot dogs and Baseball, it doesn't get much better than that.
Micah and his very own Soda, they were thrilled that they got their own.
This is where Micah hung out most of the game.
Peyton being her goofy self, no not really, she's just got a tongue thing going on lately.
Me and my babies!
My first child and I, No I'm kidding, I love this guy!!! And yes, that would be Peyton under Micah's hat.
Jacob getting the autograph of.....some guy.
