unless of course you're me! I honestly wasn't going to blog this, but I decided to since a few of you were concearned about the low note my Christmas ended on. I am very happy and excited to say that I am going to have a new niece or nephew this year! It will be the first blood related niece or nephew I've ever had. Sadly though, it is my little sister that will be having the baby. She is not married and is just a junior in high school. She has a boyfriend that loves her very much and says he will stick by her through this. That is a lot more than most teen mothers have and I'm thankful for that much anyway. She has me too and I will do what I can to make sure she finishes high school and furthers her education beyond that. I am very blessed to have a wonderful supportive husband and am able to stay at home to raise my children. I wish more than anything that she would not have lost her youth and that she would have had a family in a similar situation to mine. So, it is what it is and I will love that baby just as much, maybe even more than I would had it come into the world under more ideal circumstances. Thank you for your concearn and please pray for my sister and her baby, and most definately for my poor mother!
The last day of the year we went to Avila Beach with lots of family and cousins galore. I've got a lot of great pictures that I'll post soon and we'll be back to happier posts, hopefully!

Kelly, you have such the good attitude about this. Your sister is blessed to have you, and I can tell you will be so good to this little niece or nephew.
Kelly, I am glad you posted it.. There is no reason to hide from it. You have nothing to be ashamed of. She is your Sister and you love her. If we can't support and be there for you then what are we here for.. I don't know everything but, one thing I firmly believe in is to just "love her".. She already has felt guilt and shame.. she just needs to know that despite her choices you will unconditionally love her. Now, she just needs to look ahead and be prepared. She is loved and will be taken care of by father in Heaven. She now just needs to take care of
herself and what is ahead. She needs to be around positive, happy people. She doesn't need judgements or ridicule. NO ONE has a right to judge. She just needs love!! It all has a way of working out. You can be a light to her at this time. Love you..
I, too, wish she would have had a more ideal introduction to motherhood, but she is blessed to have you! I am sure with the loving support of family and friends she will get through this and her baby will feel so much love from so many people. :)
Trust in the Lord and all will be well. Your sister is very blessed to have you in her life. Thank you for sharing...we all have been through experiences like that and we learn and grow so much from each other...Love ya kid!
That is hard--your poor mother indeed. I know that I feel protective of my little sister so I understand you wanting to help her. She's lucky to have you as a wealth of information and support.
Life is a gift, all life !! No baby comes here that the Lord is not aware of him or her. You will be a great benefit to your sister and she you !!
This is a tender thing. So hard and so painful in many repects but it all leads to joy and love. I will pray for your family. But, I will also anticipate the joyous feelings to come as a new tiny baby enters this world. You are a wonderful sister to be so supportive of her!! She will be blessed by your help and your little niece or nephew will benefit from your help and love too! It will all be good.
