I stand corrected, they DO exhist!

Several days ago Micah shared with me that he had seen an article in Family Fun Magazine about how to make Leprechaun traps. He said that they visited someone's house and left gold coins and played pranks like turning the toilet water green. In all my years as a mother, and even all the years before that, I have never experienced any visits by Leprechauns. I told Micah that I did not think they were real. Low and behold, we were visited last night. I should have known, there is an Easter Bunny, a tooth fairy and Santa Clause, so why wouldn't there be leprechauns? I have heard of these little boogers doing some mighty mischievouse things, luckily they were kind in our home.

There were many places that those little stinkers put paint on their feet and left footprints.

You can't see it here very well, but the toilet water was green, even more so after Jake went pee at 4 am and didn't flush so everyone else could see the green water!

They left us a lovely table and some more footprints. I think they found these cute green dishes at the Dollar Tree.

All the boys got kisses on their cheeks. Tyler had one on his forhead and promptly wiped it off. Jacob wore his to school!

I have never seen our kids so excited and up so early in the morning, on a school day, you would have thought it was Christmas morning by their enthusiasm.

We had our traditional green breakfast. This year it was green eggs, green toast and green milk. There was a little complaining from Jacob that there were no green pancakes this year though. I think our little visitors more than made up for that though!

Miss P liked the footprints on her high chair tray, she noticed those right away!

I hope they visit us again next year, it was a huge hit, and maybe they'll leave some of those gold chocolate coins next time!

FYI to all who've asked. Tempera paint. It has come off all the places I have tried to remove it, i.e; Peyton's highchair, the bathroom sink and counter. I am sure it will come off the tile floor. When it dries it scratches right off, or you can get it wet and just wipe it. I did put it on my lips for the kisses (shh, don't tell!) and I have to admit that my lips felt tingly afterward, and some got in my mouth and tasted awful, maybe try to find some green lipstick next year!

A note on the tempra paint. It can stain. I used it all the time. I have some small stains on a shower curtain I just can't seem to get off. And a white t-shirt I wore cuz I didn't care if it got stained.

Great job Kelly!

So fun I did this a few years back and had the paint still on two of my cupboards when we moved. The kids still remember it, I will have to do that again!

Kelly, it's good to hear from you! We really didn't get to spend nearly enough time with one another when we lived in Fresno. Hopefully we can catch up through blogs. :) This is the best idea ever. You're such a good mommy!
